REQUIREMENTS FOR A VISA IN HONDURAS

The applicant wishing to enter Honduras may apply for the Visa according to the following categories:

  • Tourist/Business Visa

    This visa is issued to foreigners wishing to travel to Honduras for recreation, business or family reasons, who are holders of ordinary passports.

    Applicants must submit the following documents:

    1. Application form completely filled out;
    2. Two passport-sized photographs;
    3. Passport valid for at least six months;
    4. Name, address and telephone number in case the Consular Section needs to contact you;
    5. Flight itinerary;
    6. Invitation letter;
    7. If you are a foreign resident of the country in which you are requesting the visa, you must indicate your current residency status (student, tourist, etc.)
    8. Indication of visas from other countries, which you currently hold.
    9. Copy of proof of payment.

    This procedure must be done in person at the office of the Consular Section in Berlin, Germany.
    If you require a Business Visa with multiple entries, in addition to the above documentation, you must submit a letter from your employer or from the institution for which you work in your country of residence, which must indicate the period of time which you will spend in Honduras and who will cover the cost of your stay in the country.

  • Consular Visa

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Honduras must authorize the granting of this type of Visa. To avoid any inconvenience, the applicant should complete the process with sufficient time prior to the scheduled trip.

    The application must contain the following documentation and information:

    1. Name and the nationality of the applicant.
    2. The VCA-4 form.
    3. A legitimate and valid passport for the duration of your stay in Honduras
    4. Indication of the purpose of the trip: tourism or business, professional activity, visiting relatives or friends; Invitation letter.
    5. Proof of employment, bank account details and property deeds;
    6. Duration of stay in the country;
    7. Indication of the applicant’s port of entry (airport or by way of land or sea).
    8. If you are a foreign resident of the country in which you are requesting the visa, you must indicate your current residency status (student, tourist, etc.)
    9. Indication of visas from other countries, which you currently hold.
    10. Copy of proof of payment.

    If you require the Business Visa for multiple entries, in addition to the above documentation, you must submit a letter from your employer or from the institution for which you work in your country of residence, which must indicate the period of time which you will spend in Honduras and who will cover the cost of your stay in the country.

    This procedure must be done in person at the office of the Consular Section in Berlin, Germany.
    A designated person may also fill out the application form directly to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This person may be a relative or a person who has a commercial or business relationship with the applicant who wishes to travel to Honduras.

  • Diplomatic Visa

    This Visa is for those who are holders of diplomatic passports and who are working for a foreign government:

    Requirements:

    1. Valid passport for at least six months;
    2. Official document, confirming that the person is a government diplomat;
    3. Photocopy of proof of payment.
    4. This procedure must be done in person at the office of the Consular Section in Berlin, Germany.
  • Official Visa

    This Visa is for those who work for a foreign government or for an international organization, or the holders of the Laissez Passer of the United Nations.

    Requirements:

    1. Passport valid for at least six months;
    2. Proof which indicates that the person is a government official;
    3. This procedure must be done in person at the office of the Consular Section in Berlin, Germany.
  • Courtesy Visa

    This Visa is for those working for international organizations or institutions like the FMI, BID, OEA, World Bank.

    Requirements:

    1. Valid passport for at least six months;
    2. Proof which indicates that the person is a government official;
    3. Photocopy of proof of payment
    4. This procedure must be done in person at the office of the Consular Section in Berlin, Germany.
